Claremont’s creative approach to bringing teams together, telling the brand story and designing collaborative spaces resulted in a truly stand-out working environment for Police Mutual when it moved its 80-strong team to 20 Chapel Street in Liverpool.
Create an inspiring and professional environment
Make the work environment a memorable space for both staff and visitors
Ensure natural light and the views to be maximised
Police Mutual’s brief asked for an inspiring and professional environment that would support collaboration and communication, and create a sense of unity. The brief also requested a
working environment that harnesses all aspects of the brand and customer experience, making it memorable for staff and visitors from the moment they step out of the lift.
A total of 80 workstations were required but with ample room to grow. The open plan space also required an acoustic management solution and the brief asked for natural light and the
views to be maximised.
The finished office brings Police Mutual’s work and brand values to life through the use of colour, artwork, manifestations and an unusual police phone box.
The design includes a broad spectrum of memorable and fun workspaces including those for day-to-day work, relaxation, collaboration and formal meetings.
Claremont located the open plan workspaces around the perimeter of the floorplate to make most efficient use of the space and to give staff access to the excellent views and natural light. The design has been future-proofed to accommodate approximately 40% team growth.
This move was about adopting a more collaborative and open style of working. Claremont had some great ideas about how to make every square foot count and some really creative touches that showcase our brand and focus on customer service too.
