Our COVID-19 expertise...
Managing Director
Closing the business down was never an option for us. We didn’t want to let clients down as we knew they would need even more support as a result of the pandemic. We also knew our team would cope with change and adapt to remote working with ease. We have been constantly monitoring the Governments advice on the matter and taking the necessary and appropriate steps to ensure safety for our team and their families, clients, business colleagues and the wider community.
We find ourselves in strange times – many businesses were hurried into a lockdown without having the luxury of time to think strategically. The essential issue was finding a way to maintain a level of work activity in the unprecedented circumstances but with no time to think about anything other than the immediate practicalities. No-one considered that this could potentially change the way we view the world of work in the longer term.
We have been approached by a number of organisations looking for our guidance and support on what the best strategy for returning to the office will look like, we are conscious that every organisation has different challenges and are in different situations, which means – One Size is Unlikely to Fit All!
'Know your Zebra Report 2020'
Our annual insight workplace trend report has previously focused on the analysis and research we have carried out and the trends that we have observed whilst working with a wide variety of clients.
There is no doubt 2020 is an exceptional year and we need to recognise the impact of the global pandemic in addition to considering insight gathered from 43,000 surveys. It would seem that many of the trends we observed over the previous 5 years are still valid but have accelerated due to the effect of the pandemic, it is likely that the future emphasis will be on people and their wellbeing rather than the workplace itself.
Annual Workplace Insight Report - 'Meaningful Workspaces'
We believe a hybrid work style is here to stay.
To create a meaningful workplace that delivers value for the business itself and the people who work there, the office will need to become a Destination in itself.
This latest report covers some of our thinking about future trends in the workplace, and we hope it stimulates some thoughts and ideas within your own organisation.
'FutureFlexible' - The Destination OfficeFrom the first recorded cases of Covid-19 in the UK at the start of the year we’ve been focusing on managing and mitigating the risks to both projects and people across our sites.
We implemented Government guidelines from day one with increased health and safety signage, tool box talks and regular morning briefings, eventually moving these outside as an extra precaution.
