Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Equity (DIBE) in the workplace
Shaping an inclusive future
There is no diversity without inclusion; without creating a sense of belonging, safety and value, diversity becomes no more than a token.
Our power – and responsibility – at Claremont lies in supporting our partners to create inclusive workplace environments that support everybody’s unique requirements, allowing all colleagues to thrive in the workplace.
Through regular academic and industry research, as well as partnering up with DIBE specialists, we are constantly growing our understanding and awareness of inclusive design principles, spearheading change and best practice within our industry.

DIBE360
DIBE360 is a rigorous tool that audits your workplace performance from a DIBE perspective.
A current or prospective workplace design is put through detailed analysis, resulting in a tangible overall score relating to its performance from a DIBE perspective. This score is broken down to demonstrate areas of strengths and development, alongside a detailed analysis of the data provided by our in-house Workplace Psychologist.
Validated and endorsed by experts in the field, DIBE360 is the first of its kind.
The Inclusion Equation
The Inclusion Equation is a series of papers aimed at bringing awareness to organisations on the vital aspects of Diversity and Inclusion within the workplace.
The series highlights the importance of thoughtful workplace design and how it can create an inclusive environment where every member of your team feels welcomed and has a sense of belonging.

Workplace Consultancy
We want to engage with everybody – from the typical user of the space, through to colleagues who may see and interact with the world in different ways; to build a space and community building that people will love working from.
What do we do?
- Sessions with your team to understand their experiences at work and the barriers they encounter in the workplace currently
- Our psychologist, workplace consultancy team, and designers work closely to ensure new designs follow our inclusive design principles
- Seek to understand your strategic DIBE goals, vision and approach, to ensure our design aligns with this
- Workshop solutions as we develop the design
Yorkshire Building Society
We prioritised inclusivity by engaging directly with accessibility groups and holding DIBE workshops to ensure diverse voices were heard. Our consultancy team collaborated closely with representatives of different diversity groups, gathering feedback and creating a design to support neurodiverse individuals, those with disabilities, and employees of all faiths.
All aspects of DIBE were carefully considered, ensuring the workspace promotes mental health, physical needs, and overall wellbeing for all employees.

Claremont was proud to be named the IWFM Impact Awards 2024 winner for its Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiative. This award celebrates strategic programmes that embed EDI into the heart of an organisation – driving real change, encouraging inclusive communities, and delivering meaningful outcomes for both people and businesses.
Claremont earned this recognition through its collaborative approach with clients, designing workplaces that support both organisational success and individual wellbeing. In doing so, we set a new benchmark for inclusive design, redefining what this type of initiative can achieve.

Inclusion at Claremont
At Claremont, we leave no stone unturned when it comes to inclusion. We believe that truly inclusive workplaces start from within, so we prioritise ongoing education, reflection, and action across our own teams. Through regular internal sessions, workshops, and open conversations, we explore best practices and key topics around equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (DIBE). This helps us stay informed, challenge assumptions, and keep evolving.
Our design teams are trained to understand the ‘why’ behind inclusive design, using academic research, client insights, and real lived experiences to shape spaces that support everyone – regardless of how they think, move, or work. By embedding inclusivity into every stage of our projects, and keeping DIBE at the heart of what we do, we’re helping to create better workplaces, not just for our clients, but for our people too. And we’re proud to be playing our part in driving change across the industry.
