Claremont diversity scholarship
As an award-winning design and fit-out company, we’re committed to increasing diversity in our industry through the Claremont Diversity Scholarship. It’s designed to help Black and Ethnic Minority students kickstart their design careers with £1,500 annual funding for 2 years, plus a paid work placement (subject to academic performance), either over the summer between years 2 and 3 of the degree or as a full sandwich year. Dedicated mentorship from our design team is also included.
Claremont world of work
We’re determined to help young people into work, especially within the design and construction industry.
Aligned with the Ahead Partnership, we’ve developed a programme of work, to support young people across the UK to realise their career goals and skills. We help them to build key skills like leadership, confidence, communication, and problem-solving, and raise their career aspirations by guiding them to make links between what they’re studying and real life.
We help to reach children at an early stage – the Claremont Interior Design Challenge is aimed at showcasing the world of work to pupils in years 5 and 6. A classroom of 30 pupils get to take part in a day-long creative challenge to design an office interior. Each session is held in local primary schools and is free of charge. We’re passionate about helping young people broaden their aspirations and horizons, so we’ll always give priority to schools in socially and economically disadvantaged areas.
