DAC Beachcroft
case study
The big idea
The move to a new office in the heart of Newcastle city centre provided an opportunity to embody DAC Beachcroft’s people-centric values and deliver a stand-out hybrid and collaborative workspace. Claremont’s complete design and build expertise was called on for this project, starting with liaison between the landlord, main contractor, the client and the IT team to ensure a seamless programme.
Nailing the brief
The brief requested a workplace that reflected DAC Beachcroft’s hybrid ethos, met the needs of the local team and client base and re-used as much existing furniture as possible, with only a select number of new pieces to assist with collaborative and hybrid working. Claremont was also tasked with working with the AV provider to ensure seamless integration.
The final result
DAC Beachcroft now has a city centre office that embodies its hybrid working values. As the latest project in a ten-year relationship between DAC Beachcroft and Claremont, this is the firm’s newest and most progressive workspace yet.
The finished space maximises views over the city with a well-located and dedicated client suite, complete with a collaborative business lounge to support meetings away from the main floorplate. The design incorporates a variety of work settings for its team, which include collaboration, meeting, focus and office support spaces.
Claremont’s involvement with the project while the building was still under construction helped to secure a significant financial contribution from the landlord.
