As governments and organisations are publicly outed for greenwashing and their lack of environmental responsibility, demand for greater authenticity and transparency around the green agenda grows. Today’s employees want to work for environmentally responsible and authentic businesses that share their values.
ESG stands for Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG). An ESG strategy refers to a company’s commitments and behaviours in these three areas and is increasingly used to demonstrate its transparent and responsible with regards to its people, society, stakeholders and the environment.
At Claremont, sustainability informs the very essence of how we approach office interior design and build projects for clients it also shapes the daily behaviours of our team and the decisions we make, and it’s driven how we’ve refurbished our own headquarters in Warrington.
In this document we’ll talk you through how we’re helping clients to be sustainable and achieve their wider Environmental, Social and Governance (goals by designing out waste, designing in wellbeing and ensuring responsible office interior design. We will address ‘environmental overwhelm’ by introducing you to the different sustainability accreditations that affect the built environment, and we’ll update you on our own sustainability journey so you can be sure that we practice what we preach.
