Liverpool Football Club
case study
The big idea
- Relocate Liverpool FC’s several smaller offices into one building in Liverpool City Centre
- Create an environment incorporating the clubs’ strong identity and history throughout
- Provide an open plan office, a TV studio and shower and changing facilities for players and guests
Nailing the brief
Claremont was appointed to assist in the relocation of Liverpool Football Club’s back office functions from Anfield stadium and several smaller offices and bring them together in one
location in Liverpool city centre. Finance, human resources, membership services and LFC TV were among the departments to be relocated, enabling extra space to be created in the
stadium for new hospitality areas.
Claremont looked at a number of locations in Liverpool and advised LFC which space would best meet their requirements in providing open plan offices, a TV studio and shower and
changing facilities for players and guests. LFC were keen to have everyone working together in one location and tasked Claremont with creating an environment incorporating the clubs’
strong identity and history throughout.
The final result
Claremont completed the interior design, fit-out, provision and installation of furniture, together with the audio visual package over a 16 week programme. The identity of Liverpool Football Club was captured throughout the space using its team colours and history.
The meeting rooms were named after past managers and were clearly defined through the use of manifestation and artwork displaying their success with the club. In reception, there is a player history wall and LFC honours wall emphasising how proud they are of the club.
The theme continues with brightly coloured, football themed manifestation providing a divide between the working area and breakout area. As well as open plan office space, Claremont created individual offices for the UK-based board directors, including Chief Executive Christian Purslow.
