Manchester Metropolitan University
case study
We chose Claremont because we wanted a partner that could work with us through the full consultation process and the full Design & Build project with the post occupancy at the end.
We had a really good collaboration process through workshops, stakeholder interviews and drop in sessions. Claremont were brilliant at engaging with the staff throughout the process.

Workplace Consultancy Approach
Manchester Metropolitan University were looking to achieve greater effectiveness from their current real estate portoflio. Claremont utilised two of the four modules within the Workplace Consultancy Program these being the ‘Getting to know You’ and the ‘Shaping your Space’ modules which consisted of:
- Analysis of 6 workplaces within a 36 building estate
- x2 Spatial Analysis
- Space Budget
- Scenario and Test Fit Planning
- Concept Visuals
The final result
The new workspace design represents a fairly radical step forward for the University, so it was considered vital that colleagues were taken a long the journey.
Following a comprehensive colleague and student engagement process to establish the design of the space, we embarked on the change journey. Alongside the project team at MMU, we carried out Change Champion workshops, drop-in clinics, email communications, workstation trials and demos, tours, FAQ forum support and a workplace guide.
