Engineering workspaces built for precision and performance

We’ve partnered with leading engineering consultancies and multi-disciplinary design firms across the UK, developing a clear understanding of what makes their workplaces work. From agile project rooms to tech-enabled collaboration spaces, we create settings that reflect the sector’s technical rigour, innovative mindset, and people-first approach, helping engineers to connect, focus, and deliver.

Smarter workspaces for smarter engineering

Working smartly in the engineering industry is a non-negotiable, and that’s why our office space designs are tailored to optimise efficiency.

With decades of experience delivering workplaces for engineering leaders, including Stantec and Arcadis, we know how to create spaces that empower your teams to design, test, collaborate, and thrive.

Whether it’s uniting multiple offices into a single creative hub, designing hybrid-ready floors that feel seamless across phases, or embedding sustainability at every level of a fit-out, we’ve helped engineering firms overcome some of their most complex workplace challenges.

Manchester

At their new home in 101 Barbirolli Square, Stantec needed a workplace that connected multiple teams and celebrated their collaborative culture. Having delivered eight projects together in just two years, our partnership is built on trust, shared ambition, and a deep understanding of how Stantec’s people work.

Delivered in two seamless phases, we created a vibrant, community-led workspace with a flexible social hub, agile work settings, and Manchester-inspired design cues, including exposed services and the iconic worker bee.

The result? A future-ready office that prioritises connection, flexibility, and continuous growth.

Glasgow

Arcadis wanted a workplace that embodied sustainability, wellbeing, and inclusivity, while aligning with its global design identity. Having built a strong and ongoing relationship with Arcadis, we’ve gained a great understanding of how to translate their brand, values, and culture into physical space, ensuring every detail feels authentically “Arcadis”.

The new Glasgow office blends local cultural inspiration with advanced workplace technology, flexible multi-use spaces, superb acoustics, and an exceptional user experience. Built like a hotel-inspired hub, it gives Arcadians an environment where they can collaborate, focus, and flourish, all while celebrating both their global identity and the character of the city they call home.

Mott MacDonald’s Manchester relocation to One Piccadilly Gardens focused on creating a collaborative, inclusive space that reflects their global standards while celebrating local culture. The design centres around a vibrant breakout hub with soft seating, booths, and catering facilities, flowing into open-plan areas that encourage connection. Inspired by rippling water, the layout promotes fluid movement and interaction, complemented by nine meeting rooms, focus pods, quiet zones, and 180 desks.

Sustainability and biophilia guided material choices, with eco-friendly finishes and energy-efficient lighting throughout. Accessibility and wellbeing were prioritised with a multi-faith space, wellbeing room, and colour schemes tested for inclusivity – creating a workspace that truly puts people first.

Tetra Tech’s move into the historic Grade II listed Hodge House brought three brands and two offices together under one roof. We created a design that celebrates the building’s striking architecture – high ceilings, decorative columns, and expansive windows – while blending Tetra Tech’s branding with subtle Welsh influences.

The space features an open-plan collaborative hub, flexible meeting rooms named after iconic Welsh landmarks, and a boardroom that opens into a social area for townhall events. Accessibility and inclusion were central, with ramps, braille signage, and a dedicated wellbeing and multi-faith room ensuring the space works for everyone.
