WYG
case study
Creative excellence is the best way to summarise this project. Claremont’s vision and ability to reflect who we are in our work environment has had a transformative effect on the team. We now have a very distinct and inspiring workplace that we are very proud to call home.
Andrew Gillespie, WYG
The big idea
- Create an enganging and client-friendly workplace
- Move from isolated working to more agile working practices
- Incorporate WYG’s strong cultural values into their new office
- Convey a sense of community via a variety of breakout spaces
Nailing the brief
Calling on WYG’s strong cultural values of providing inspiration through imagination and expertise, we consulted with employees to understand their wants and needs and how we could incorporate some ‘Leeds DNA’ into the finished office. The design takes influence from nature, with the widespread use of wood and planting, and gives focus to the importance of community, with a variety of flexible, group-orientated and open-plan spaces.
The final result
WYG’s new workplace features bold breakout spaces, meeting rooms, phone booths, open-plan desking, semi-private team spaces and a standout zen room collaboration zone. Capturing WYG’s young, professional and dynamic energy, the new office gives the team the cohesion, inspiration, flexibility and sense of community they had been dreaming of…only better.
