Claremont’s brief was to reflect the client’s already playful reputation for a relaxed and inspiring workplace by creating a dynamic and flexible environment for its 600 designers, data specialists, programmers and marketers. The design also needed to support the business in its fast and continued growth and create a strong and distinct sense of place.

Nailing the brief

Claremont has delivered an innovative and agile working environment like no other, bringing the client’s playful ethos to life in every way imaginable.

This company now has a truly unique head office that will flex as its needs change, inspire its teams and help to attract and retain the best gaming talent in one of the world’s most competitive sectors.

The whole interior design supports activity-based working and gives the teams the freedom to choose from a staggering variety of spaces. The office has been transformed into a series of fun, scrum, group and team spaces complete with 14 immersive pods, each kitted out with integrated AV technology, perch seats, moveable furniture and write-on surfaces for teamwork.  Mobile sit stand desks have been used throughout and give teams the freedom to reconfigure their spaces as they see fit.

This company understood that areas that promote play, freedom and creativity add real value to the work that is done and so there is a huge array of spaces to stimulate, excite and engage.

The final result

The building includes a performance amphitheatre, three  art studios, a music room complete with drum kit and a wide range of instruments, a games area, music pods, a movie theatre and a gym, not to mention countless dedicated breakout spaces for informal meetings, reading, quiet reflection and more. Claremont has also used the fourth-floor balcony to create additional relaxation space, taking advantage of views over the London skyline.

The whole space has connectivity at its heart, as the widespread use of glass connects the four floors together, allows light to permeate all the spaces and showcases a cohesive interior design as you move through the floors on the spiral staircase.  The building’s glass atrium has also been repurposed, creating a 3D interactive library for employees and visitors to use.
