MHA

case study
“Not only has Claremont understood who we are as a business, but they’ve also helped us create a space that exceeds our expectations. We now have a brilliantly collaborative, inclusive and well-equipped office for our growing team. We are delighted”.
MHA

The big idea
When a leading accountancy practice’s client roster, headcount and revenue are growing year on year, their office must be up to the task.
That’s why MHA requested an inspiring environment for its Exchange Station team in Liverpool. The environment had to support its people and clients and reflect its hybrid work style and net zero goals.
Nailing the brief
We were working with a client who pride themselves on their dedication to shaping a socially responsible and sustainable future and so we applied our usual creative gusto to create a space that felt part of the Baker Tilly International and MHA families while also retaining a sense of local identity. As the business took an extra 3,000 sq ft of space as part of the refurbishment, we made sure to use every inch by introducing a raft of new collaborative and social spaces.
We nailed the brief by giving MHA a genuine Destination Office—a space rich in choice and variety that we knew its team, fromtrainees to partners, would seek out and use.
The design theme reflects the standard we’d already set for the business, having already delivered new offices for Lancaster and Manchester. We used nature-inspired tones to create a relaxing feel, with a few industrial touches to reflect its city-centre location.
By creating a detailed ESG report before our work began, we were able to meet MHA’s green goals, minimise waste and make smart green decisions. The result is a project that diverted an impressive 91% of waste from landfill, used energy-saving measures like PIR lighting and increased natural light and donated unwanted furniture to charity.

The final result
This is a Destination Office for a business with big ambitions. MHA’s Liverpool office embodies all the team has achieved so far and spurs them to keep growing. Equipped with everything they need to thrive, the space is already proving a big hit with the team and visiting clients. Plus, it reflects MHA’s commitment to letting employees choose how and where they work, thanks to a wide choice of facilities and activity-based settings.
