For Claremont, balancing environmental impact, social wellbeing, and stakeholder values is crucial. By monitoring energy use, community engagement, and sustainable practices, we aim to reduce carbon emissions, enhance positive impacts, and inspire continual improvements within our community
ESG stands for Environmental, Social Impact and Governance, and this approach is at the heart of how we achieve success in sustainability within Claremont.
We’ve been carbon neutral for two years and are on track for a third. Our goals include reducing our carbon footprint by 10% annually and recycling 100% of site waste.
We’re upgrading to electric vehicles, have installed solar panels at our Warrington Design Studio, and provide onsite EV charging and an electric car scheme.
Our in-house carbon monitoring tool helps predict and reduce carbon footprints in client projects. We also run regular sustainability workshops to enhance our team’s and supply chain’s knowledge for sustainable workplace design and construction.
We prioritise hiring local trades & suppliers to ensure money stays within our communities and offer annual apprenticeships, including a BAME Design Scholarship, while also supporting our supply chain in finding apprentices.
As a proud living wage provider and employee-owned company, our social impact value over the past two years exceeded £1.1 million, as measured and certified by Planet Mark. Each year, we commit to supporting a local North West charity, raising over £16,000 for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity last year
