We’re delighted to share that we’ve secured three nominations in the Fit-Out of the Year category at this year’s Yorkshire Property Awards.

The nominations recognise our work in Leeds with HGF, Allianz and Grant Thornton. To have three separate projects shortlisted in the same category is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the creativity, expertise and dedication that goes into every workplace we deliver.

The recognition also builds on previous success in the category, having won Fit-Out of the Year for our work with Yorkshire Building Society in Bradford. To return with three shortlisted projects is something we’re incredibly proud of and highlights the strength of our workplace portfolio across Yorkshire, as well as our continued commitment to creating spaces that deliver lasting value for our clients and their people.

While each project had its own unique brief and ambitions, all three share a common purpose: creating spaces that bring people together, support business performance and enhance the day-to-day workplace experience. Seeing them recognised by the Yorkshire Property Awards is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Grant Thornton, City Square House, Leeds

Grant Thornton’s move to the BREEAM Excellent-rated City Square House marked the next chapter in our ongoing relationship, building on the success of projects in Liverpool and Glasgow. The brief was to create a modern, future-focused workplace that would support collaboration, innovation and an enhanced employee experience, while reinforcing the firm’s commitment to Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region.

Drawing inspiration from both Grant Thornton’s established workplace vision and the city itself, the design blends a familiar look and feel with subtle references to Leeds landmarks and local heritage. From meeting rooms named after Yorkshire design greats to breakout spaces inspired by the Corn Exchange, the workspace has a strong sense of place that gives it its own character. Throughout the office, a variety of work settings, wellbeing spaces and collaborative areas provide colleagues with greater choice and flexibility, while inclusive design principles and biophilic elements help create an environment that is accessible, welcoming and comfortable for everyone. The result is a workplace that supports both people and performance, providing an inspiring home for colleagues and a memorable experience for clients.

HGF, 1 City Square, Leeds

When HGF began reviewing its workplace strategy, the firm recognised an opportunity to create a more effective office that reflected evolving ways of working while making better use of space. Through a detailed workplace consultancy process, we worked closely with the team to understand how their existing office was performing, uncovering opportunities to improve collaboration, increase utilisation and create a stronger connection between colleagues and the workplace.

The insights gathered ultimately informed HGF’s move from a 19,000 sq ft office to a new 10,000 sq ft home at 1 City Square. Despite the reduced footprint, the design delivers a highly functional and engaging workplace that supports a variety of working styles. A cohesive, brand-led aesthetic, inspired by HGF’s distinctive colour palette, runs throughout the space, while a thoughtful mix of collaborative areas, private pods and flexible meeting settings provides choice and flexibility throughout the day. The result is a vibrant destination workplace that strengthens employee experience, supports future growth and gives HGF a workspace that truly reflects its culture and ambitions.

Allianz, City Square House, Leeds

As part of a wider transformation of its UK real estate portfolio, Allianz relocated its Leeds office to City Square House, creating a workplace that better reflects the needs of its people today while supporting its future ambitions. The project centred on delivering a flexible, high-performing environment that could accommodate a large open-plan workspace, enhance collaboration and provide an improved experience for both employees and visitors.

Developed from Allianz’s initial workplace vision, the design balances operational requirements with a strong sense of identity and place. Leeds’ architectural heritage provided inspiration throughout the space, with local influences reflected in the material palette, bespoke detailing and workplace graphics. At its heart is a vibrant breakout area designed to bring colleagues together, with adaptable furniture and technology allowing the space to evolve for everything from informal gatherings to large-scale town hall meetings. Delivered over a focused nine-week programme, the result is a future-ready workplace that supports collaboration, wellbeing and productivity while creating a distinctive Leeds home for the Allianz team.
